Join Maude Barlow for a discussion on Blue Communities, water protection, and her new book, Whose Water is it, Anyway? Taking water protection into public hands.

In this book Barlow examines the growing threats to our water sources and tell the story of how she and other grassroots water activists woke up to the immense pressures facing water in a warming world. The way forward includes a step-by-step guide to making your own community “blue.”

  • We end the Longest Night of the year kissed by twilight at 7:15. We invite you to gather with Calliope and Community at Molly Brandt Point (The Woolen Mill entrance to Douglas Fluhrer Park) to drum up the sun at waters edge. We will gather (with coffee, tea and hot chocolate) at 7:15 am. We will begin to drum up the sun at 7:30 am. Sunrise is 7:38 am.
